The Freightliner Coronado was introduced in 2001 as a long nose, conventional Class 8 truck targeting owner operators with classic styling and modern features. Production for the first generation ended in 2010, making way for a restyled version that would eventually be named 122SD, but the Coronado remains available as a glider kit.
